I like how small the resistors are. Also, the leads make them super easy to manipulate.
Resistors are neatly arranged and well organized. I have 2 Buicks with the VATS Keys. I just completed the 91 Buick Park Avenue. Now I have the kit if my 98 LeSabre, should it end up with the same fate. Anyone with soldering skills should be able to do this relatively easy. The hardest part about doing something like this is hanging upside down and working outside in the dark or cold of winter. If you want a professional looking wire connection, do a practice run first with similar size and wire type first. The kit comes with plenty of spares. Tip, cut the wires coming from the steering column as high up as possible. You will need to cut and remove as much of the hard plastic sheath as possible with a sharp razor to be able to slide heat shrink tubing away from your resistors otherwise the heat shrink will shrink in place if it is too close during the soldering. That happened to me. I accepted what happened and just used electrical tape to seal it off. One more thing, after I reconnected the battery, it wouldn't start immediately. The GM VATS needs a few minutes to reset!
