Good sling for Type 38 rifles. Strong leather, but unit marking paint is easily rubbed off.
I was very surprised how well the sling operates on the old 38. It's strong and will easily take any brunt you can throw at it. My only complaint would be the paint used for the unit marking. The paint easily rubs off, but can be rectified with some Ice-Cream White hobby paint and a steady hand.
The leather can be a bit stiff upon arrival, but loosened up after some use.
Overall a very nice sling, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for that extra touch to an old Arisaka or a budget IJA reenactor.

Lightweight and perfect for military reenactments
As the title implies, it is very lightweight. Although don't let that deceive you, the scarf will keep you warm on chilly nights. It's muted color makes it a perfect candidate for that little extra touch to one's reenactment impression. The scarf that arrived didn't smell like old surplus. The only thing that you should keep in mind is it's length, but that can be easily resolved. Otherwise it's a great little scarf and I would highly recommend it to any military reenactor.

Great book for bayonet collectors
Very comprehensive book for bayonet collectors or World War One enthusiasts. It details a great many of the bayonets used by the warring powers and well worth the value. However, it should be noted that it does not cover bayonets used by neutral powers or the more obscure armies such as Brazil or China but it is understandable. Otherwise, its a great little book for the value with plenty of information on the different types of bayonets (including the different variations of the late-war German "Ersatz" bayonets).
