A passable remake
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Many of the gameplay changes to make the game "easier" feel rather hamfisted and take much of the game's freedom from it. The addition of Dixie and Tiny to make up for the missing two characters due to copyright was a good idea, but the story wasn't. Evil Wizpig taking over an island? RACE HIM! Players were perfectly happy with the story of the adventure mode being vague, trying to make it make sense just makes it seem incredibly stupid instead of just vague. Also; Tiny Kong. If you're gonna include her with two other normally-proportioned monkeys, don't give her the proportions of a human. She looks weird. But at its core, it is still Diddy Kong Racing, and still a fun game to play. The inclusion of multiplayer without requiring multiple game cards is a nice touch.

Wish there had been more silver
The price was right and the quality of the items seems fairly good, but the color mix was a bit random. There was far too much gold, almost no gunmetal, and I do wish there had been more silver. Also, why do only the gold ones have no piercing? I kind of wish some of the silver pieces came without holes, they look good undecorated and the hole makes them look unfinished.

Works alright but very clunky, controllers were garbage.
The device software functions perfectly, but I have some serious issues with the hardware.
First off, it is very difficult to remove and insert SNES games. The SNES had an eject button for a reason, and the only way to remove a game from this thing is to grip the FC twin and yank it out forcefully - a royal pain in the ass and I doubt it's good for the cartridge. The NES games don't seem to have the same problem.
Secondly, the controllers that came with it were absolute garbage. My parents thought it was THEIR fault Miss Pac-Man kept going up instead of left and right instead of down and so did I, until I tried to play Mario 3 on it. I am an old expert at the Run-And-Duck maneuver for sliding under objects, it should have been a piece of cake, but I was unable to do it at all. I decided to run a test and went into the basement, getting one of our old SNES controllers out of storage from when our old SNES system crapped out on us. Suddenly I was able to play every game as perfectly as before, and my parent's Miss Pac-Man scores greatly increased very suddenly. I will be locating the second old SNES controller from our original system as soon as I can. I think it is worthy of note that one of the controllers that came with the system was far worse than the other, pointing to a general product inconsistency.
All in all, I would get it again for the price, but not the price plus shipping. Not quite worth it, I think I would have been better off forgetting the old Donkey Kong game and just getting a refurbished SNES.
