It works really great when it is all put together. Directions are helpful, but follow closely. If the 1” hole is ooff, or the the hole for the bolt is not straight down the axis, some modifications, ie reaming will need to be done. Don’t need to be an expert, but shouldn’t be a beginner DIY. Practice on a few test pieces or 2x4 before hand just to get a feel on how to drill the holes, parts can be reinstalled into final installation.
