I am currently putting together microscope systems for my local park district. We are putting together a series of classes to study protozoans, algae and other small organisms in local waters. Looking to complete 15 microscopes.

Boo Hiss
I have had a number of Bruan shavers. They used to perform well, but they weren't waterproof.
This one is waterproof, but doesn't shave well.
I bought this one to replace a Panasonic shaver that I had been using for ~ 6 years. The cutting head wore out and I couldn't find a new one that was less money than a replacement shaver. Thought I'd try a new Series 5.
MISTAKE! This shaver doesn't shave as well as my old Panasonic.
I'd read reviews describing dissatisfaction with this shaver and didn't pay enough attention. What did they know about Brauns, those shavers had always been great. Oops.
Back to Panasonic...

Optics OK, but hard to use with eyeglasses
This monocular is designed for people not wearing eyeglasses. The visible area drops distinctly when using glasses compared to the naked eye.
Another issue I had with this scope was that initially I could not turn the focus ring, but my trusty Crescent wrench fixed that problem. Honestly, I had to use a wrench to move the focus ring the first time. It is still tight, but now I can move it.
The 9x magnification is nice, and the optics are clear -just wish I could use it with my glasses and see a larger field.

Second time for this purchase...
This is the second unit I have purchased. It works well and is dependable.
The light is well controlled and fits the microscope perfectly.
