Why pay (a lot more)?
Seems indistinguishable from the original, though it is a bit lighter, so I can guess where costs may have been saved (though having a less heavy hose on a vacuum cleaner is hardly a great sacrifice!). Arrived the next day. Very good value compared to the cost of a 'genuine' replacement part.

Very good machine 'of its time'
Well designed Panasonic recorder 'of its time'. Less noisy and much better built than later models. A little more complex and less easy to operate though, which is to be expected and is not important to me.
Would have been five stars, but there is no 'open' tray button on the remote, so this has to be done manually.
