NLT Slimline CCR Bible
Great size, very legible print and flexible binding. Only one complaint: this is a red letter edition. Red print bothers my eyes and is much more difficult to read than black print. It is too bad we are not given a choice!

Jerusalem Bible compact sheepskin edition
This is a great reading and traveling edition. The sewn binding is great: it opens flat. The leather is amazing: soft sheepskin leather. And the print is the most readable that I have seen for a compact single column edition. The dark print on the high quality india paper makes this edition second to none. It is too bad other publishers haven't used this format. Also, fortunately this is a black letter edition! (Red letters are not good for reading!).

Breathrough Bible for Charismatic Christians!
This is a great Bible for all who consider themselves Charismatic. There are are dozens of short thoughts which generally focus on prayer and the work and nature of the Holy Spirit, ranging from Andrew Murray to St. Teresa of Avila. WIth its focus on the Holy Spirit it is an almost unique "charismatic" Bible. Moreover, it is not filled with doctrinal commentaries which tend to make such bibles more sectarian, divisive and of limited appeal when one considers the broad range of Christian denominations which have a charismatic focus. The choice of the KJV may be a drawback for many; however, there are notes on each page with explanations of archaic words (with what appear to be the more modern equivalents used in the Revised Standard Version).
