What it's like to be different. Fabulous story.
Loved this book. I like to read for a little escapism and this really delivered. On the face of it it's a love story. A fisherman on a small carribean island meets a mermaid and they fall in love. Underlying this there is so much going on. How people treat each other, jealousy, greed, difference, loneliness, acceptance.
It's funny, sad and uplifting all at the same time. The supernatural element adds to the telling of the story without taking it too far over the top. Loved it.
