Very nice unit, definitely a bargain.
I needed a pre-distortion volume pedal... so I decided that I ought to buy one of these for the additional wah distortion, and other effects I could get out of it as a bonus, for the same cost!
I'm quite satisfied, and the core reason is the X-edit application, which runs under Mac OS X (!) as well as Windows. I've also checked out the Line 6 pedals, and am baffled by the lack of an editor application: how on earth can you configure multi-effects units of this level of complexity using just the little knobs and buttons on the device without breaking your back? THIS MAKES NO SENSE.
X-edit makes configuring your patches radically EASY, while seated in comfort before your computer monitor, and allows you to save your configurations on your computer... just in case your RP unit bites the dust.
In other respects, it's a fairly nice unit. I wish that Digitech made switch assignments more flexible... but making setup "simple" is a design goal, and it's pretty well achieved here. I wish the unit had a MIDI control port, but well, *sigh*.
Some of the amp models sound OK, though not as good as a high-quality tube amp. YMWV. The acoustic guitar models are decent (a boon to me), and the A/B amp/EQ model switching is a godsend!
