Just the job
I had a pair of Dr Marten’s that I’d had resolved as they were leaking. Whereas this cured the cracks across the base I found one still allowed ingress from wet grass etc. On close examination it looked as though there might be a very slight separation of the seam and the base on one. I tried this glue to stop the gap and next day - voila! Job done. No more wet socks.
One tip I would suggest if attempting to reattach the rand to a boot, to avoid damage to the leather, is to use a piece of label sheet (to which the glue will not stick) against the rand and the eg pencil placed to create pressure against the weak area.
(The label sheet I used was simple backing off self adhesive labels from B&M.)

Disappointed
Put out, bated, night after night.
Caught - zero
The locking mechanism was too tight to slip down easily, so that if anything was tempted to enter and step on the foot plate, although the door would fall the locking pin would fail to do its part.
The trigger is far too temperamental and sets off in the slightest breeze.
What DO I like about it? It has a foot plate for the rodent to step on (rather than having to pull something off a hanging hook).
The mesh is fine enough to contain the smaller rodents.
It just needs to work.

Fussy cutters
These snips do seem to make fussy cutting stamped images easier. It only seemed strange for the first few seconds to be holding the handles like one would hold secateurs rather than scissors - but is SO much easier on the fingers and thumb that would have been used with scissors.
The blades are sharp enough to make really crisp cuts (keep them for dedicated paper work and don’t allow them to be used for cutting just any old thing)
It is easy enough to see where to cut, easy enough to see where to turn and if fine, delicate cutting is required in tight spaces, able to cope with that too.
I’m very pleased with them - had them for about a fortnight.
