Pretty but lacks depth
I said yes I recommend it, but leaning to a yes-and-no middle way. Depends on what you're looking for. It has good photos with pretty buttons and a tiny bit of information about them, but for me, just superficial. The best part was the author's pairing of buttons and cloth and the different effects 3 or so buttons would have against any particular cloth. It goes a bit into making buttons (like making your own clay buttons) button-holes and fastenings, but mostly it shows pretty buttons without much information about them. Copyright 1992, 74 pages in color, approximately 8 5/8 x 11 1/2 inches (mine came with dust jacket).

Much more than a cookbook
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Spanish recipes intertwined with the history of the Columbia Restaurant and Ybor City/Tampa, Florida in personal tales. The history goes far beyond a restaurant start date and dull data. This is life being told, and the characters who lived it. If you've never been to Ybor City, or just passed through, this book will give you a taste of its past and present that will linger.

Going to be my go-to gift for artist friends, because I'm not lending it!
Highly recommend for artists, would-be artists and lovers of art. The art
reproduction is outstanding. The book is well organized, and information is clear and concise. Gurney's color strings alone are worth the price of this book. Bonus: His artwork is stunning.
