Moving true story of courage and resilience.
A written account of a true story, this is a moving book, and the memory stays with you after you have finished reading it. It tells of the resilience of two young women in the face of extreme adversity, and how through the power of God and people pressure they can overcome.

Light hearted,beautifully written, about living in Syria when it was an unspoiled country.
I was recommended to read this book as an introduction to Agatha Christie.It is nothing like her crime books, but related to her time in Syria accompanying her husband on his archeological digs. It is a wonderful insight into her observant nature and sense of humour, and also into the nature of the Syrian people, and some of the cultural differences, which although frustrating,were often portrayed in a humorous manner. This is a lovely bed-time read, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Inspirational
A truly inspirational story of a couple who refused to be beaten by homelessness and ill health. Well written with beautiful descriptions of the scenery around them as well as their innermost feelings. I was sad when the book came to an end when they had completed the whole of the South West Path, but pleased it had a happy ending.
