Did not harden.

I gave it plenty of time to harden, but it didn't. Not after days exposed to the air.

Best Value Mouthpiece

I think this sounds better than the Yamaha 4C. Richer tone, fuller. Take care to learn about the sizing to pick the version that suits you. There are three chamber sizes, from largest to smallest, A-B-C. The A would be the warmer, the C the brighter. They come in three tip openings, from widest to narrowest, 7-5-3. Jazz players may feel a wider opening is best, but you lose some focus and you still have a lot of control with a narrower. I went with A and 5 (compromised on the tip and went for the darker sound of the larger chamber. People really compliment the sound even though I'm playing on a low-end soprano sax. I like the feel of playing on this mouthpiece in general, too. By the way, I have even noticed the difference between this and the Yamaha on other folks' Youtube videos, so I don't think it's just my unique embouchure.

Overall good value. Seems well-made. Cord is a little short for me but will work.

My only complaint is that the cord is too short to run through the clarinet when it is assembled.
