Good product, not an easy installation

Got good results, but installation was certainly not "plug and play". The 3 connecting wires came with bullet connectors already installed, but they weren't the right size to use on my 1977 Bonneville. Had to change those out. The color code on the wires was not even remotely similar to the color code of the factory assembly so that had to be sorted. And the mounting studs were too long and not the right thread to be used with the special factory nuts that hold the assembly in place. Had to cut those down and re-thread them. Looks and works good after installation.

Attractively adds a much needed step to my truck bed

Getting into the bed of my truck was really difficult because of the height. This product makes it much easier by adding a step that is always right where you need it and can be used with the tailgate up or down. It is held up under the bumper by a stiff spring so that it's hardly noticeable when not in use. My only complaint is that it uses allen head bolts for assembly. Torque specifications are given but I have no way to use my torque wrench on allen head bolts without buying special tools. So I just hand tightened the bolts with my "L shaped" allen wrenches and everything worked out OK.

A good positive ground LED tail lamp

Works very well on my 1977 Triumph T140V Bonneville. Has LEDs on the end so that it lights up the license plate as well as providing good lighting for the brake and tail light.
