Corgi 1/72 AA32111 Duxford War Museum Bf-109E
Very nice rendition of the restored Bf-109E currently still at Duxford. Details are sharp with markings nicely done.

Outstanding Corgi 1/72 Hurricane MK.I model AA32012! Associated mysteries solved!
The serial number on the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I aircraft model, P3169 ( aircraft number 1 Sqn., RAF, coded JX*T ), is correct, apart from the error on the box ( which has beautiful artwork ), stating it is Hurricane P3109. The model of P3169 is flawless. Good detail overall with even the fine stenciling and wing walk areas included. Good flat finish including the national insignia. The radiator, cockpit interior, pilot and inner landing gear wheel wells are properly detailed and painted. the wing tip navigation lights and wing leading edge landing lights are properly painted on. The wing leading edge has gun muzzle outlets red tape patches which are present showing the tape patches had been shot through by the eight .303 Browning machine guns, four grouped close together in each wing. Both extended and retracted landing gear options are present. A nice stand is included
In History, on August 16, 1940, Then Seargent Pilot Arthur Clowes on a Battle of Britain intercept used this aircraft to down a Heinkel He-111 during the Adler Tag period portion of the battle. His normal Hurricane Mk.I during this time was P3395 coded JX*B. Hurricane P3109 had belonged to 615 Sqn, coded KW*( unknown last letter ), piloted by Flying Officer P. Collard were both unfortunately lost off the coast of Dover on August 14, 1940.
A fine history of Number 1 Sqn. and limited edition certificate with the model of P3169 are included with the model. Outstanding Model! :-)
