Great read and gives deserving attention to the origins of the 10th Mountain Division.
I enjoyed the book very much for the in depth research that explains the reason for picking the site, the planning and construction and about the people who were there. The story about the racial tensions was surprising and educational. I was a kid when I first saw the site of Camp Hale and would always wonder what is was like. Now I know and want to learn more about the 10th Mountain Division!

the best story ever, see the Tolkien movie and you understand somewhat of where the author comes from.
I have read this trilogy 4 times paper back for every decade of my life starting in my teens. This hardbound edition is fantastic! The illustrations are beautiful and the type is bigger. I am almost 60 so that helps. I can pass this set on to my kids someday, they love this trilogy too. Love it and a great buy!
