Easy to use.

I've used other mat cutters for years and honestly did not know this was available until recently. I bought this because of the large handle which I can grip with the palm of my hand and push with the whole weight of my arm while cutting. Next, very important to me is that the blade tip is visible. I can see exactly where the blade touches and cuts the mat board. The one I bought is an old model in original packaging, didn't matter, it's a heavy duty product and will last for years. The current model available is identical to the original design. The only minimal drawback is that the blades aren't sold locally, however, a pkg of blades was included and II will stock up on them directly from the company when I need more. Blades are extremely thin and sharp and will last longer than the others I buy. I recommend this mat cutter.

Great box easel

A very nice item. It takes up so little table space it can be used anywhere. The drawer in the front makes the difference. It is lightweight and well balanced for carrying. I like the ledge that holds the canvas or papers, it's a fold down ledge when in use and is deep enough for a thick drawing pad with room to lay down a pencil or charcoal while working. The drawer is roomy is a a good spot for brushes, pencils and misc. . I recommend it.
