Pack up the Cats and Move to the City
Pack up the cats and move to the city is obviously a parody on the Guns 'N' Roses song called, "Move to the city", or simply Scott Lucas' take on it. He ain't packin his bags, he's packin his cats! Well this song to some disappointment lays out the mood for the whole album. Maybe it reflects a sad time in Scott's life, moving? Its a good album in its own way though, not like "As good as dead" but the music is more laid back, organized and thoughtful. He doesn't simply hate everything like on his previous album though, he broods and relents over certain subjects, such as isolation, loneliness, love... All in all, its a good example of mellow rock which still gets heavy in some places.

Complex stereo sounds for the trained ear
Every song on this album is f$#king great. Up until this album, FNM has been known as a pop band well on Angel Dust they shed most of their pop feel for a more heavy metal feel. Every song on this album is complex on a auditory level where you listen to it, you are amazed at how complex each song is. Lyrics on the album are also superb. Only thing that I didn't really approve of is the overall dark atmosphere of the album.

PJ Returns to rawness... in a different way!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Well PJ hated popularity and fame as much as Nirvana did and they committed a sort of suicide themselves... by not making any more music like their first album and vowing to never make another music video! This is an album certainly for die hard fans. You might think if they're going to change their sound they might just put in some throw away lyrics - not so! They penned some of their greatest songs on this album. Songs "Not for you", "Tremor christ, "Nothing man", "Satan's bed", "Immortality", are some of the best. I wouldn't call the music on this album grunge though... probably neo-grunge is best!
