Worked, with a caveat.
The card functions just fine but I did have to replace one of the fans. The fan closest to the ports had some strong resistance to spinning and, as expected, spun at about a third of the rpm of the other two. It probably wasn't too important to replace because my temps were fine but I just wanted to make sure it was running the best it could. It needed some new paste anyway.
