Great American Quilts are GREAT!!!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have the entire set of these books (1987-2004) and was so disappointed when I contacted the publisher and was told that they were no longer being published. These books are fascinating and have so many gorgeous patterns. These are not just pattern books, instead, they give you fascinating glimpses into the lives of the quiltmakers and their sources of inspiration. Many of the patterns and instructions use traditional templates (I noticed a few more quick piecing and quilting techniques used in the newer issues). That may put off some people who don't have the time for traditional quiltmaking. However, even if you never make a quilt from these books, they are fascinating to read and the quilts shown will spark your imagination.

Mavica rocks!
Okay, I know that 3.5 floppy disks have gone the way of the dinosaurs, but as long as I can still find them on eBay, I am hanging on to this camera. I bought it recently here on eBay as a back-up for my FD-83, which is starting to show its age (though it still works great). I've found little difference between the two as far as photo quality is conceerned. For ease of use, and quality photos, this is a winner!

Not as user-friendly as I would have liked....
Although this camera is small and attractive, I am still having trouble taking clear photos with it. I don't find that the instructions are very helpful and I still have not figured out how to effectively edit my photos. Also, I ended up having to buy rechargeable batteries and a charger as it was eating batteries like candy. I'll keep working with it though, and hope things get better....
