An excellent bargain for a history classic
This is considered a classic history of the 1967 war between Israel and Egypt. Tom Segev is an Israeli Jew and a fine historian who supports Palestinian rights.
The book itself was in excellent condition. It was a very good price and arrived on time.

Outstanding scholarship and analysis
This is one of the best-researched books on Native American history I have ever read. I have read Charles Mann, and Jack Wetherford, are excellent, as are Peter Mathiessen and Jake Page. Alvin Josephy, Brian Fagan, David Standard, Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz are also very good, and Bartholeme' de las Casas is, of course, in a class by himself.
But of all these people, I have to say that the most profound---excepting perhaps Charles Mann--is Pekka Hämäläinen. His scholarship is outstanding , and his analysis opens up a completely different way to look at Native Americans and their long struggle against European domination of the North American continent.
The first two that I mentioned are must reads. Prof. Hämäläinen is worth a whole semester of digging.

Highly recommended read about American foreign policy
This is a classic of literature on American foreign policy. It exposes the domination by people whose interests and loyalty are divided between America and a foreign nation, and should be required reading for anyone seriously concerned about national security, world peace and related issues.
