Voltage regulator works well
This voltage regulator does the job well, but beware if fitting to an E Type Jaguar, as you will need to adapt the connections. This is because the wiring on the E Type has a male and female push on connector, but the receptors on the voltage regulator are both male.
The regulator has a label to show the correct mounting position. I think on the original bi-metal type regulator this may have been important, but I imagine this replacement is solid state, so I’m not sure if the mounting position is so critical.

Ideal lubricant for O rings
This small sized Tin of silicone lubricant is just the job for lubrication of O rings before fitting. There is no need to apply much, so one small tin should last well.
