Do the job
I thought the crosshatch was the grip for the underside! They do the job fit straight on the VW pegs so do not move about. The plastic has a strong smell for a week or two which is a bit off-putting. They are cheap and do the job, but nothing outstanding.

Half the cost, twice as comfy
Was tired of buying Adidas, they look good but are uncomfortable,... I remember having a pair of K-Swiss years ago and recall how well they fit. I am glad I went back, they are less than half the price and twice as comfy!
