Good product, bad timing

I've been looking to upgrade my computer for a while, and was hoping that I could last through the pandemic and the crypo boom before upgrading my system. Unfortunately, my computer had other plans and died on me. When first announced, the RX 6800 XT seemed to be the best value GPU for gaming. I wanted to move away from the nVidia gpu's and do a full AMD build. I was eventually able to get everything I needed except for the graphics card. What would normally be an easy purchase was now equaling my rent payments. 😱 Luckily, I was able to get my card during the Etherium slump, but it still wasn't anywhere near msrp. Also, I was looking to either get a Gigabyte or Asus card because I was looking to use an EK water-block on it. EK didn't make a block for the MSI version, but I was able to source one from Alphacool. It's a great card. Better than the ancient GTX 780 Ti's I was running. Just wish it didn't cost so much.

A good upgrade.

Upgrading from a PS4 Pro to the PS5 is a definite eye opener. The graphics rival those on my recently built gaming pc, even with using an old TV. My only wish was being able to get one for retail price, instead of paying grossly inflated scalper prices. But I have one now, so I won't complain about it.
