Better
I got this because under certain gaming situations, the computer would crash, and would not restart without removing the plug, and turning the power switch off.
All of that is now history.
The flat cables are better than the round ones too.

Minolta Dimage 7
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This is the second Dimage 7 that I have bought, after I managed to cock up a firmware update on the first one.
I replaced it with the same model for a few reasons.
I had already bought a few accesories for the first one which would have been scrap if I had bought another camera.
I had got used to the camera, and was starting to take some half decent photos with it.
And finally, it took me so damn long to figure out how to use the thing that I had invested hours learning how to use it.
It is a bit difficult for a novice to learn how to use, as there are few aids to help with the functions.
However, this is a good thing, stops you from being lazy and letting the camera from doing all the work.
The end result is a better picture (when you get it right) which is a far more rewarding experience than just a point and click.
It teaches YOU how to take pictures instead of taking them for you, and the result is much more satisfying.
This being my first SLR type camera, I dont have anything to compare it to, but I would guess that a full SLR would be as complex or more complex than this to use, so it is a good first rung to a full SLR, if you cant get on with this one then at least it hasnt cost you a thousand pounds to find that out.
If it was bought as a starter camera, for somebody who had never operated a digital camera before, it would probably put them off for life, but as the next step for an amature snapper, it is a good one, even considering the age of the camera.
If you are considering buying this type of camera, then I would suggest reading up on them first, but if somebody asked if I could recommend the Dimage 7 then yes, I would.
