DECENT KIT OF BEAUTIFUL PLANE

This is a limited run kit and hence not really for a beginner. Having said that, it is nicely moulded and goes together reasonably well. the decals are excellent. Five stars for Valom producing an injected kit of this utterly beautiful airliner - who cares if it was overtaken by events and produced in very small numbers - it is just drop-dead gorgeous!

EXCELLENT KIT OF AN UNUSUAL SUBJECT

The Chinese FC-1 aircraft is similar in size and shape in some respects to the American F-16. Pakistan is the major user of the type, where it is known as the JF-17 Thunder. Decals are provided for a Chinese prototype, a two tone grey Pakistani service example and a very attractive display scheme, red and green with white trim, also from the PAF. As far as can be judged, the model is accurate - Trumpeter, being Chinese, ought to have good source plans. It fits together beautifully - a really good fit with no need for filler. There is a wide range of underwing ordnance provided, there is a detailed cockpit and ejector seat and a nice clear canopy. There is also a fret of photo etch parts, including parts to make up a finely detailed jet pipe. Overall this is a very satisfying build of a subject not well known in the West.
