Shogun

One of the best insights into medieval Japan you will find. Produced by James Clavell the writer of the original Shogun tells the story of Pilot Major John Blackthorne an English navigator who breaks through the pass of Magellan fleeing from the Spanish. After his ship is grounded off the coast of Japan Blackthorne undergoes a radical change from a sailor to Samurai. The 10 hour long film is spread across 5 DVD's although now dated it has not lost any of its appeal over the years. I will not ruin the story for you. If you have a love for Japan and don't want to read the very long book, which is quite possible one of the finest examples of Literature ever written. Enjoy.

Farscape Season 4

Season four is the last season of Farscape and these particular episodes are some of the best of the season. These episodes addresses some of the key issues that started the Peacekeeper wars which saddly would mark the last of the Farscape series. If you love Farscape and have not seen much of the 4th season or if you are looking for some sci-fi to get into, then this box set and all the other sets that make up Farscape on DVD are great to get into.
