Very old
Was exactly as described - unopened brand new original HP. But the date on the box was Aug 2011. I'm not sure whether a 10 year old printer cartridge will work, but I will give it a good long shake before use and hope that it's OK.

Wasn't in original sealed package
Disappointed that the two HP56 cartridges didn't come in their original sealed packs, but had been taken out and repackaged in a single plastic box sealed only with sellotape, so won't be entirely airproof. (Apart from anything else, I'll have to open the plastic box to take the first one out.)
They may well be fine, but I can't be sure whether any humidity in the room might possibly affect them.
I had previously bought a single HP56 cartridge from this supplier, which came in its original sealed package. Another time I'll try buying them individually in the hope they will arrive in the same sort of original sealed package.
