Fine story, well written and entertaining.
James Herriot never fails to entertain with his sometimes funny, sometimes sad tales of a country Vet's life. This book has some unforgettable characters both human and animal. The reader does a fifne job as well. My only disappointment was that the book wasn't longer.

Mr. Pecks stories are full of humor and insight into human nature. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stories with actual History thrown in
Great story with a realistic view of people and animals. If you love folksy tales this will give you hours of enjoyment. Both tears and laughter. Also has a bit of history through out.
