Little to recommend
I watched this programme when it was originally broadcast and as far as I remember enjoyed it. The dvd set shows how much production and story lines have moved on since 1970 .Overlong storyline , the series could easily have been compacted into say 10 episodes ,as the french drama series SPIRAL is.very ,very disappointing purchase .

All aboard for travelling man
I remember watching this series when it was originally broadcast in 1984 and 1985.written by roger Marshall who was involved in other great series in the seventies and eighties it was very enjoyable .The series has lost none of its appeal in the intervening 34 years ,it is even better now when compared to most of the dross shown on British telly Today .if you yearn for quality then buy this and enjoy .

A bygone age of cigarette packets
If like me you are an ex smoker ,and remember how decorative cigarette packets used to be ,then this book is for you .a detailed history of the packet is compulsive reading,however the photos of many of the old packets is the selling point .you are transported back to a time when smoking was socially acceptable and manufacturers did everything in their power to make sure you bought their brand . A great book .
