Tough and ergonomic product
Easy grip for weaker hands and easy to find. I don't use them as chisels, but for loosening seized screws.
A sharp tap of the hammer, followed by a tightening torque first and that usually does the trick.

BRIGHT, CLEAR and PRECISE beam pattern. WOW ! (saved me going to specsavers)
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich When yet another Lucas sealed beam unit died in my 1966 series IIA Landrover, a friend suggested that I should try a H4 conversion using Wipac Quadoptics and Nightbreakers.
WHAT a difference !
A superbly sharp and well-defined beam pattern that provides wide and long distance range on main beam, whilst giving long, clear dipped beam with a precise cut-off to avoid dazzling oncoming vehicles. Much better than my modern road car and with the old landrover headlamp mountings, very easy to adjust.
And they are this good despite the fact that I have connected them to the existing headlamp wiring circuit with all it's old switch contacts, multiple terminals, connectors, ammeter etc which I'm sure must be starving them of some volts.
So, to find out what they are REALLY capable of, I'm going to treat them to a direct fused supply from the battery isolator switch and a pair of relays switched from the existing wiring circuit.

Resurrected unserviceable speakers
I bought these to repair some elderly Mission 773s on which the rubber suspension rings were tearing away from themselves causing a "flappy and buzzy" quality of sound..
This kit was an approximate size but did fit ok. The replacement foam rings were fairly easy to attach, but I did need to find circular ring-shaped objects to support the speakers and to apply pressure exactly onto the glued surfaces to retain them and to provide sufficient pressure to hold the inner lip of the foam ring (which was flat) down onto the outer edge of the speaker cone (which was at an angle) for long enough for the adhesive to dry. The adhesive worked well.
Once re-installed, the speaker sound was satisfactory, though I can't tell if it was identical to its original sound. After some use, now the glued joints are holding up well.
