Awesome pad!
The Wicked Chops pad is great! I’ve thought about having a tiny practice pad like this since reading about Dave Garibaldi’s drum teacher making him use one.
It’s helping me be more accurate. I also like to use it with students who cant or won’t focus on consistent stick placement. The construction is also great. The threaded hole is deep enough so the pad doesn’t wobble on the stand. Great item!

Best snare e-pad in its price range
Great. I bought this after watching a “65 Drums” YouTube review, calling it the best $200 snare pad out there. True, as far as I can tell. It’s low profile and portable, and triggers accurately from both head and rim. The piezo is side mounted, so no hot-spotting... that’s a personal preference thing, but I like it. Consistent and no surprises.

Solid-feeling-- good low volume practice tool
Great sound-reducer, and feels good. More sturdy feeling than I expected. I thought the mesh would be spongy and that I’d make contact with the mylar underneath, but it’s stiffer than I expected, and that’s not happening.
The rim feature is also great, and has a pretty convincing feel. A little soft-feeling of course, since it’s rubber, but not as spongy as some other rubber rim-silencers.
Definitely worth messing around with the tensioning feature, especially for use on snare. It takes a second to figure it out, but it’s easy once you do.
