Good exterior detail, not quite right color.
This is a decent diecast for the price. The shape looks right, the graphics are correct, and it has opening doors. What is does not have is an opening engine bay and an engine. While it looks pretty good at first glance, when I compared it to other Gulf GT-40's I have, such as the 1/12 versions from GMP, the blue body color does not seem right. I have numerous versions and scales of the Gulf cars and none are this shade. Is the color horrible? No. Is it correct? I think not.

Great Car for the Money
As long as you understand what you are getting and accept the price, this is a great model. Norev basically makes a beautiful shell. They have no opening parts, no engine detail, or posable front wheels. They look great on the shelf next to the other brands with those features, and Norev has released versions not previously available. The #14 Lowenbrau car is my personal favorite and it looks fantastic. When you compare these cars to the other brands with all the features, the Norev is perhaps priced a bit high, but, as noted, they make versions that no one else does.

Amazing Story!
I bought this book after seeing a story about Welchman on TV. I was somewhat familiar with the Enigma story, but Welchman, being right at the heart of it, adds a lot more detail and background. I really enjoyed this book, but, honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed with the procedural information that he shares. The level of detail that he provides on the actual process of the code breaking was more than the average person can digest, perhaps better suited for a techno-geek. I had to gloss over some of the highly detailed "how to" sections, but basically found the book to be a great read.
If you love the "inside baseball" type of stories, you will really enjoy this. If you just want the "Big Picture", this might not be the right Enigma story for you.
