I'm concentrating on Christian music and books this month. I've recently come across a large number of CDs and cassettes that are brand new and still in the plastic! I sell at the flea market here in Jax, and sometimes come across some great stuff!

The Bound Man by Shelby Steele.
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich I am very much interested in the campaign of Barak Obama. While I do not necessarily agree with Mr. Shelby's conclusions, I believe that this CD is one that every American should listen to. Barak Obama's campaign is important even if for no other reason it brings race relations to the forefront. Why he enjoys the popularity of Whites and Blacks both is carefully explored on this CD, as well as the possible downside of it all. I believe that the jury is still out on the outcome (After all, alot can still happen between now and November), but alot has been accomplished already. Positive change is good, even if it is incremental, and we should never give up hope. Our future as a nation depends on it!

A Coffins for Dimetrios
Very compelling and hard to put down! Ambler's characters remind us of ourselves and get themselves into crazy situations, like "how can you be so stupid!" (OR maybe he just reminds me of myself!). Anyways, the opposite of James Bond and very realistic! Shows what happens behind the scenes in spy versus spy. Anyways, if you read one of them, you'really hooked for life!

Florida's Highwaymen.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a very inspirational and informative book. There's something about the Florida Highwaymen that captures the imagination and feeds the soul. The paintings themselves are inspiring, but the stories behind them are even more so. If I had the money, I'd collect them all!
