A battery is a battery, but suppying the spring is genius.
By supplying both a battery and an appropriate spring means that the new battery should last at least 50% longer or more than the original and there is no making any mistakes cutting the old spring. As long as you're comfortable doing some simple desoldering / soldering then replacement is straight forward. Really good instructions come with these. Doing this replacement has saved a lot of cash compared to buying a new toothbrush.

Great graphic novel for 7yr olds
Book in outstanding condition. Perfect for my 7year old grandson who was aware of the characters and the film. I have to confess, I didn't know anything about this book. I looked online to find a summer reading list of a local grammar school for 7yr olds. Pleased that I found this recommendation.

Wakey Wakey
Ok where do I start. I used to have an alarm clock with a red screen. The only time I could see it was at night with the lights off. Still I didn't bother till it started to rattle so I binned it.
Now, its been some time since I bought an alarm clock and DAB didn't exist then. I knew that I never wanted to have a red screen ever again and I didn't want something that looked like it came from a pound shop.
So why did I pick this. Well it wasn't going to be the price, because some folk were asking 70 quid. What a cheek for an alarm clock! To start with it looks like a little radio. It has big numbers (and the date) in white that I can see against a black background. Some folks have complained about the light coming off the clock being too bright. This works well actually. You can have it bright similar to a night light or with a simple press of a button dim it down. I like being able to adjust this. Next, I can set 4 alarms to my hearts content. I only set my alarm for Mon-Fri (I need the beauty sleep at weekends). I did set it to go off once when I was catching a flight and setting the alarms is easy when you know how. Now I don't do much listening to the radio, so far be it for me to give you any opinions on sound quality or FM versus DAB. I just don't like to wake to some sort of buzzing sound and my old clock radio used to go off station all the time and I got fed up with the crackling. I've set the alarm to use a DAB station and I get a clear radio station, not ear-ache in the morning. Finally, there's nothing more aggravating than having to re-do all the settings after the powers gone off (yes I know we live in a 3rd world country). Its a sad thing I know, but I do like the way the clock sorts itself out when the power comes back on (I can even plug it out and move rooms - when I snore too much, she says).
Would I buy another. Well I hope not, I expect it to last a while, after all it is a Sony - but maybe as a prezzy for someone else, yes.
