Don't Explain Robert Palmer.
My father had a record shop business, so I never had my own music, I used to listen to his lps. This was one of the first records I bought, vinyl, when first published on my own account. I've still got it but don't use it as haven't got a record deck.
The cd is in my car and it sounds the same as ever. It's a very varied double album length cd. Very grown up tracks that has a musical narrative from track to track. Some are original compositions and a few are covers.
Definitely recommend.

Soul Cages 1991.
Had this for my birthday in 1991 I think when it came out in vinyl.
Cd reproduces the sound extremely well. It's a superb album with plenty of lovers heart ache.
Don't omit to Google Stings promotional broadcast of an acoustic double bass gig from The Buddle Arts Centre, Wallsend, 1991 where he produces a definitive performance of the key tracks from The Soul Cages. Can't be bettered.

Sting Mercury Falling
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I was given this in 1996 when first published for a birthday present. Can't remember if it was on tape, vinyl or cd... Sold all of my Sting to a second hand record dealer for £10.
Really nice to listen to it again after 20 years. A superb album. Definitely recommended.
