Great item for a present - go for the ring binder version, though.

I bought this notebook for myself, having bought one before as a present. THis is a nice notebook divided into monthly sections. Plenty of paper in each section to record information about your garden/plot, ideas for next season, mistakes you made, etc. Envelope pockets to keep receipts, notes, seed packets, etc. Nice grid/graph paper for planning out beds/allotment. Particular note is the quotations for each month (a feature of all dodo pads), which are humerous and amusing. I would recommend purchasing the ring binder edition (removable pages, option to add and move pages around) and not the spiral bound edition, as the wire is tempremental and irritating when the pages don't lie flat, or fall out! Overall I can recommend the whole range of Dodo pads (especially the diaries for organisationally challenged teenagers), and this product is an ideal present for a gardener. A bit on the pricy side, but well produced and nice to use.
