Ki-61-II early
A very nice kit of a historically important Japanese fighter. This is the first 1/48 scale kit of this version of the famous Hien/"Tony" family to be produced in the history of plastic kit production. The minor exception was a 1/50 scale Tamiya kit produced in the 1960's that was crude and difficult to build. If you want a "state of the art" model to complete your Ki-61 collection/display, this is it! There won't be another.

Case is too small.
The phone doesn't fit well as the case is slightly too small. It can be inserted with force, but it is very difficult to remove it from the case. I am working to expand the case at least 10% in internal size all around. If I cant, the case can not be used with my Kyocera phones.

Fine Molds 1/48 "Babs"
Fine Molds is a Japanese plastic model kit company that produces 1/72 and 1/48 scale kits of mostly Japanese WW2 subjects. Many of the subjects they have selected have been produced only by them. The subject of this review is one of those with the caveat of an ancient 1960's kit no longer in production and very difficult to find.
The "Babs" was an attractive early war single engine reconnaissance aircraft widely used by both the the army and navy. FM has produced both versions and has produced an elegant and "very Japanese" aircraft model which achieves all modern kit standards for accuracy and quality. Highly recommended to all WW2 1/48th modelers.
