Does what it says, I tested it.
Excellent for protection and ease of carrying. Having a pair of these is obviously very useful to protect your spare key fob. Note that you would otherwise need the spare far away in a seriously big house to be safe from the laptop exploit to steal your car.

Its not small, its not light - but it rocks!
A truly great bit of kit. Worth the extra over the D300 for the extra card slot & the 'proper' OK button in the multi-selector
IMHO, this is for actual & budding professionals, as the size & weight make it impractical for casual touring & holiday snaps.
The D90 has the same sensor & lens range while being much smaller & lighter. But if you need a DX camera with all external controls & a degree of weather-proofing then this IS the one! Takes the same batteries as the D700 and shares the MB-D10 battery pack. Performs better than you'd think on ultra-high ISO work but has a much more sudden drop off than the D700 when it really is getting dark!
