    Subtle Details Make a More Sophisticated Look
    The Pascals are the answer to everything I was hesitant about with buying traditional Docs-- The leather is soft from the first try-on, it's not shiny smooth and has a little more character to it, but you can tell it is still incredibly sturdy and will settle in nicely. This particular pair offered a really nice color that is subtle, muted and understated for a bit more complexity than some of the more conventional colors, which is why I opted for the discontinued color. They're a really nice brown-grey with just the ever-so-subtle hint of green which I'm sure will become more prevalent once they're broken in. I think that Docs in general are a great value because they last long enough to be handed down to your children, but if someone is torn between the normal 1460s and the 1460 Pascals I would implore them to take the leap on the Pascals, they feel more expensive yet are the same price. They already feel broken in but they're brand new!
