good bang for the buck
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I've had this item about a week and used it against hundreds of stones. It is accurate and works well. It's easy to use and the RI readings are spot on. It works great for sorting and categorizing. The readings are fast and no RI fluid needed, which saves time and mess when testing. My single largest complaint is that it is made from plastic and I can see that being an issues over time. With all this said, I am happy thus far and in fact, the instrument has paid for itself during the first week.
I would recommend this as tool one for identifying many, if not most gemstones. I especially like the ability to separate diamonds from Moissanite.

Great Bang for the Buck
In the beginning I was hesitant to order something from China, but service was fast. I received the AbleScope in Wyoming in only 11 days from time of order. Item was as described and easy to assemble. I had a little trouble downloading the Apps/Software, but with some email assistance from the Ablescope Staff, I now have my Scope up and running on my Samsung Galaxy S-5. I am able to direct connect with the supplied On The Go (OTG) cable or via WIFI using the supplied WIFI box from Able scope. Optics are great right down to viewing the carbon and other defects in diamonds and other gemstones. I have since ordered a second USB scope for a friend that has poor vision because of diabetes. He intends to use the scope to enlarge the print in books, so he may read them with greater ease. All around a great little tool for not much money. Thanks again KM
