slow down the burglars, make them make noises
LORI deadbolts, now made by KABA ILCO are decent double-deadbolts that once installed and locked are pretty good security.
Many states are outlawing double-deadbolts because of the fire-trap hazard but by the same token, these slow down and frustrate burglars as well.
When the correct high security cylinders are used with these, even locksmiths have a difficult time getting past them.

It just doesn't get any better than this.
I love Medeco American-made locks and hardware, been a fan for decades. Fine quality mechanisms with the clockwork feel.

when it comes to security, buy the best there is.
American made first quality products are getting scarcer to find, this company is based in Salem Virginia and has high standards of excellence and has set the bar for security locksets.
I have been using Medeco locksets since the 1980s and I still recommend them.
