Not as good as the previous Kiwibird USB...

Not as good as the previous Kiwibird USB adapter I bought a couple of years ago. The chipset has changed from Generalplus to KTMicro and as a result, the mic volume is very low compared to original adapter using the same computer and headset. Useless with ALSA sound as the mixer won't let you exceed 0dB. If you use pulse, it may be OK as you can lift it to +11dB.
