The Boy on the Bridge Review
Please do NOT read this until you have read “The Girl With All the Gifts”! I read this first and I enjoyed it immensely, but then found out it is the companion to the above mentioned book and they should be read in order or the ending will not have the huge emotional impact on you that it will if they are read in order.

The Complete Maus-A Holocaust Graphic Novel
I ordered this book at the request of my son who needed it for school. When first I saw that it was done as a graphic novel (or as I thought of at the time “cartoons”), I felt this would be disrespectful of the subject matter and should my child be reading this? When it arrived in the mail, I opened it first to look at and ended up reading it in one sitting of about 5 hours. It is NOT disrespectful at all. This book is now one of my favorite books. It is not just a story of a person who survived, but also the story of a father and son. It is the story of truly deep love and of terrible cruelty and of profound suffering.
I recommend this book for everyone. Even if you don’t know what a “graphic novel” is, even if you think you don’t want to read about the Holocaust, even if you know sad stories make you cry and you don’t want to. (You will cry. The warmth and love the author has shown in telling this story for his father moved me so, that when I realized that the picture in the last part of the book was really Vladek, I burst into sobs...I felt I knew him and therefore I loved him, too)

Best Ankle/Wrist Weights we Have Used
Because these Gold’s Gym weights come with 5 pounds of weights in each that can be added/removed one pound at a time, they are much better than the other weights we have purchased of one pound and two pounds each. All ankle/wrist weights should be made this way! I’m so glad I found these on eBay before I bought the pair of 3 pound ankle weights I needed.
