Installed on a 2012 Elantra
Installed on a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. The instructions showed that it was pretty easy which it would have been if I did just a simple run of wires and mounting camera using the license plate adapter. There was also another mounting adapter that was included to use as a dash cam instead of a backup camera. I used the dash cam adapter and attached it to the back up camera dummy hole cover located above the license plate. I lowered the trunk lid liner and ran the wires over to the left back up light and spliced into it. Actually I went to a U-pull it yard and cut the backup light connector and made a small harness to plug into the backup light connector so I wouldn't have to actually cut into the harness wires. Then I ran the wires down the trunk hinge and down the inside of the wheel fender liner in the trunk. I then fished the wires around beside the back left seat under trim next to the seat, then under both the back and front door trims and behind the wall trim next to the fuse panel on the lower left side of the dash panel. To mount the rearview mirror monitor I lowered the left front part of the headliner and ran the wires above the headliner and down the drivers side corner cowl to the same fuse panel.
