Caliper Rewind Tool

I tried to use the tool to rewind the rear caliper brake cylinder on a Golf. The tool is too big to fit in the gap/unable to locate pins in the cylinder if the pads are well worn eg approx 3mm. The tool will fit if you grind off the alternative pins for a Ford cylinder. The tool is poorly designed to cover both brands. The winding bar is too short to start the initial rewind; a longer lever is required.

Spark plug thread cleaner

For some reason when I extracted the plug to clean it the thread in the head was damaged or stuck to the plug. The plug would not go back in the head. The thread cleaner arrived promptly and was used successfully to clean up the thread which allowed the plug to be replaced. Unsure about quality as I do not plan to use the thread cleaner again.

Bought for a Tom Tom gps but unsuitable; the Tom Tom will not work above 32 mb. Prompt delivery and a fair price. The memory card is now parked in a draw awaiting use ‘elsewhere’ at some in the future.
