BETTY GRABLE HEADLINES IN "THE DOLLY SISTERS"
Betty Grable the 2nd most popular film star (female after doris day) in the history of motion pictures audited by the academy of motion pictures arts and siences, proves why, in this 1946 release in technicolor with her million dollar legs, she became one of the biggest money making stars without having a co star of her status from 1939-1953 she had studio leading men equiv of droids , mature, payne , dailey etc, there were no male stars for grable , no astaires or cagneys or kellys , betty grable single handedly carried every movie she was in. she was the highest paid star in the usa a number of times and she retired from movies in 1956 after "three for the show" and wen into tv shows, las vegas and later on broadway in "hello dolly" watch betty grable here in "the dolly sisters" and marvel at the star who was and is BETTY GRABLE.
