Good quality, neat compact kit in a metal box. Great for use in adapting/making telescope mount adapters.

I have never done any threading jobs before except one at school many years ago. I bought this kit intended to modify some 1/4" aluminium bar which I bought to make an adapter to fit a finder guider telescope onto the main refractor telescope used for astrophotography. The toolkit worked great. I also repaired my first thread on the telescope finder cradle ring where one of the adjuster bolt holes would not allow the adjuster bolt to pass all the way through. This tool kit worked excellently and repaired the thread to a smooth action. I used 3 in 1 oil for lubrication and was careful to remove the tapping tool occasionally and clean away the aluminium debris from the teeth. It gave me confidence to use for other examples. I have not tried the kit on steel.

Good quality dew bands and packaged well

I've not had time to use the dew bands yet. I bought them on recommendation from a member of an astronomical society, to use on my camera lenses, and with the low voltage power supplies/packs that are sometimes seen supplied for mobile phones and can be sourced easily and cheaply. Looks good quality. I may come back and report on use at a later date after trial use, which I'm looking forward to controlling that dew.
