Mini 50mHz to 2.4 GHz frequency counter
Works well. And has a bar-graph sig strength indicator.
A good mod. is to replace the tele. "antenna" with a 50 Ohm resistor to gnd at pcb input patch, and run a foot or two of 3-4mm coax to a handy little coupler loop.
Also, it just so happens that the space for the pp3 battery JUST lets-in two AA Li-ion cells ! - using flat copper tape for contacts.
The time-out can be a bit of a bother - but better than dead batteries when you need it !!

CD4017BE Decade Counter
Not to be confused with the Hex. latch with the same coding - somehow !!
Works right down to 2v supply. Slower, but counting.
