Nice Alternate Version.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich -Video: Most of the animation is fairly smooth except for a few noticeable parts that either flowed too fast, or too slow. The art style, color choices, and character design all fit the show nicely. The camera movement during combat scenes was exercised regularly and done very well making things more enjoyable and dynamic.
-Sound: The English dub starts off noticeably weak in the 1st episode however takes a solid turn in the 2nd episode and maintains itself decently through the 3rd episode. The voices for the Japanese dub generally feel more engaging with the characters and situations, this remains pretty consistent throughout. Sound effects and music were actually really good and fitting for this animation, I don't really have any complaints there.
-Story: If you're familiar with "Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom" then this will make a nice alternate watch for you. The 2 MC's build more of a relationship before their separation which is most notable in the 2nd episode when Zwei buys Ein a necklace (which later plays a key roll in the 3rd episode), and later on in their apartment. This all should have been incorporated in "Requiem" but wasn't. Information on the Organization that employs Zwei and Ein is very lacking so instead things are primarily focused on the 2 and their creator, Scythe. The missions and everything else blends pretty well together between episodes and other scenes. There is also a short after-credits scene that was unexpected but nice to see.
-Special Features: Bare Bones... Just 4 trailers for other Anime and nothing else unfortunately.
-Overall: After looking at the generally low ratings for this Anime (which are mainly due to die-hard fans not liking how this story strayed from the original video game), it was a lot better than what I was expecting, especially so with working on a low budget. Sadly though, there's a hand-full of problems which are fairly easy to notice and definitely could have been fixed throughout the 3 episodes. But in the end, I am really surprised at how enjoyable this turned out to be, and I actually recommend this to any fan of the larger version "Requiem".
